Consignments are accepted during business hours or by appointment:

Tue-Sat 10am-5pm  & Sun 12-5pm

Please call before bringing in LARGE items as space is limited. We may reject your items due to overages or lack of space

How a Consignor is Paid

*Consignors will receive fifty percent50%of the inventoried price

or 60% of the inventoried price if used as a credit toward in-store

purchases


*For example:

if an item sells for *$1.00, you will receive 50 cents by check or 60 cents in store credit. In either case, no payment is received until after an item sells. Store credit accumulates as items sell and remains in consignor’s account until applied toward a purchase or pay-out.

Consignors are paid out the following month after an item is sold. Credits however are available for use immediately after the sale. Pay-out week is always the last week of the month. Please do not ask for pay-out checks prior to this date. We spend the month posting your credits and it is an accounting NIGHTMARE to be interrupted for pay-outs. You may use your sales profit as a store credit or pick up a check. If profits are left in your account for a period exceeding 6 months, they can only be used as a store credit.*A $1.00 processing fee will be issued per consignment pay-out.

There is a *per item fee worked in to the sale price. This covers tickets/hang tags/labels/ink/hangers, etc. This Price does NOT affect you as a consignor; it is added on to the price of the item being purchased. THE BUYER PAYS THE FEE, not you as a consignor!

Item fee schedule:

$0-$5                   $1 fee

$5.01-$10            $2 fee

$10.01-$20          $3 fee

$20.01-$50          $5 fee

$50.01 & up          $10 fee & up

                We do NOT charge annual fees to consign with us

When dropping off:We do NOT have time to go through your items with you. Bring everything bagged in tie able bags (like trash bags) so that items cannot fall out. We will label the bags and review them in order of receipt. There may be up to 30 consignors ahead of you, so please be patient.

Each piece will be labeled or tagged with scannable computerized labels. Your consignor ID # is on each of your items. This makes the sale VERY simple. All items are tracked using a sophisticated software.

Once a tag is scanned at the sales desk, your split will post to your account. We DO NOT print item lists. It is your responsibility to remember what you dropped off . We track consignments with time saving SKU numbers and codes, NOT descriptions.

 It takes us time to enter each of your items to our system, and care goes in to displaying them properly. Some items may be stored if there is an overstock of a particular item or clothing size. You may also be asked to take items back if they are not appropriate for our store. You may opt for us to donate your unwanted pieces, or pick them up within 24hours. We do not have the space to hold your items for longer, and only ONE attempt will be made to hold before we donate.

Condition of Consigned Items

*It is the Consignor’s responsibility to bring items in excellent condition.  Clothing must be free from stains, odors, holes, excessive wear, piling, missing buttons or belts, alterations or flaws.

*Please bring items folded or neatly laid flat, buttoned, snapped, and sets paired.  NO HANGERS.

*Shoes and Diaper bags, toys, strollers, car seats, accessories must be cleaned inside and out, and in nearly mint condition.

*All toys must be clean and in good repair with working batteries. There is a $2.75 battery fee per toy with weak or dead batteries. If your batteries die before the item is sold, the fee will be applied.

* All gear must be less than 5 years old. Whenever possible, please include the owner’s manual and assembly instructions.

*Wipe down stroller wheels and wash straps of strollers/car seats!

Bring items in FULLY assembled, excluding cribs. If we are left to assemble an item, you will be charged for the assembly time.

We will NOT call you to pick up stained /torn/worn out clothes/ dirty accessories/ broken toys/ items with corroded batteries, broken or missing pieces. Items dropped off in this condition will NOT be inventoried and will be donated or discarded WITHOUT NOTICE. Items for sale later to be found soiled or sub par will be donated or discarded.

We like our store to be clean, current and modern. Please do not be offended if we do not accept your items. We know what will sell, and our space is small, and we’re forced to be very discriminating.

Certain items we may choose to purchase. If Baby Posh Garage purchases an item for in-store use or sale, your credits will be available with 24 hours.  BPG may purchase your items at any time, at our discretion. All items that you receive credit for become BPG property. We may discard or donate them once you’ve received credit.

Onesies / PJs / Hats / Socks/ bibs/ baby mits/burp cloths will NOT be inventoried! These low profit items are tedious to hang, tag and display and often are displayed in discount buckets in the store. The pennies that are made on such items will contribute to the budget for marketing and advertising your higher ticketed items. Consider them donation to the store, or perhaps choose a charity to donate them to.

Length of Consignment

Consignment contracts are 3 months long and begin the day a tag is created for a piece. After 3 months, you may pick up your goods (pick items off shelf and see a manager) or items can be donated. If you disregard our notices, items become BPG property and we reserve rights to donate or discard. Items removed from the store before contract is up results in a 50% stocking fee. We may choose to continue to display your items if we are confident they will sell.

 

Pricing

BPG will inventory and price all items on consignment. We’re a discount store. Be advised that your high ticket items will be sold for WAY LESS than you paid. Remember, it is not NEW, even if you left the tags on. We may ask the retail price, but it will not be a gauge for our pricing. We tend to beat the price of online stores or auctions. The resale industry is a bargain hunters dream, so please don’t get sensitive when your special items get sold for MUCH less than you paid. A good consignor drops off their items consistently and while the items are still CURRENT and in demand. You’ll make money on these pieces, just think BULK not INDIVIDUAL.

We’re pretty saavy, we know what sells and we know at what price, so while we appreciate your input, NO PRICING ARGUMENTS please J

Sales, Promos and Discounts will be made at our discretion at anytime. Special Sales occur weekly: sometimes they range up to 75% off storewide.

What to consign:

All  Childrens items, ages 0-5. ANYTHING useful or fun for mommies and their new babies! Think equipment/slings/clothes/toys/strollers/car seats, ect….

We preffer quality items, but we accept a limited amount of “discount brands”. We choose to display only 10-15% discount retail brands (for example):

If your drop off is MORE than 15% of these brands, we’ll display the ones that will sell, and the rest will be donated.

What not to consign:

  • Stuffed animals
  • Bottles/pacifiers and feeding plates/spoons that are not new in packaging
  • Anything recalled or hazardous; please check your items at www.recalls.gov

 

By dropping your items in the store, you have agreed to all our policies, terms and conditions

 

 

All items accepted for consignment will be handled with reasonable care.  BPG is not responsible for losses due to fire, theft, or any other casualty or peril.
